Student Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors are students dedicated to the positive promotion of Zama Middle High School. They work on a volunteer basis to enhance the academic, social, and emotional well-being of all students at our school. The Student Ambassador’s main job is to be a helpful, friendly face for any new students during their first few days of school and the remainder of the school year.
Student Ambassadors may also be asked to volunteer for the following events:
- Annual "Sneak Peek" / New Student Orientation (annually in August): a 6th grade transition tour for incoming 7th grade students (annually in May)
- Open House and/or Course Selection Event
- Other events as needed
The Student Ambassadors' duties include:
- Assisting new students to find classrooms, lockers, and major areas of Zama Middle High School
- Work hard to keep course averages at a C or above
- Introducing new students to teachers and friends throughout the school day and during lunch
- Answering questions about activities, classes, building facilities and school rules
- Positively representing the Zama Middle High School student body
- Act as an ambassador to new students and families at school events

- Improve interpersonal and conversational skills
- Enhance confidence when speaking and interacting with many members of the Zama community
- Develop networking skills through participation at exciting events
- Develop leadership to use in college and beyond Earn volunteer hours for college applications and/or resumes
7th - 12th grade students wishing to become a Student Ambassador are invited to complete an application any time. Applications can be found at and returned to the main office.
