Welcome to Zama MHS

Dear Zama Middle High School Students and Families, 

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! 

Whether you are returning to Zama Middle High School or joining us for the first time, we are excited to welcome you. A new school year brings new opportunities to learn, build relationships, take on challenges, and grow together. 

Zama Middle High School is proud to serve the military-connected communities of Camp Zama and Naval Air Facility Atsugi. Our students and families come from many different places, backgrounds, experiences, and traditions. Together, these experiences strengthen our school and help create a community where every student can feel welcomed, valued, and supported. 

Our goal is to provide a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment where all students have the opportunity to grow academically, socially, and personally. We want our students to challenge themselves, discover their strengths, build meaningful relationships, and develop the confidence and skills they need for future success. 

Creating a strong school community is a shared responsibility. Students, families, teachers, staff members, administrators, and community partners each play an important role in supporting student success. Through kindness, respect, open communication, and collaboration, we can ensure that every student feels connected and encouraged to reach their full potential. 

To our returning students and families, welcome back. Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to Zama Middle High School. We look forward to building upon the relationships, traditions, and accomplishments that make our school community special. 

To our new students and families, welcome to Zama Middle High School. We understand that joining a new school and community can bring both excitement and uncertainty. Please know that you are not alone. Our faculty, staff, students, and families are here to help you make connections, become involved, and feel at home. 

As we begin the 2026-2027 school year, let us support one another, celebrate. our successes, learn from our challenges, and continue building a school where every student feels safe, included, and inspired to succeed. 

We are excited for all that our students will learn, experience, and accomplish in the year ahead.
