ALL high school students and parents are invited to join us on College and Career Readiness Night on Thursday, September 19th at 5:00pm in the ZMHS Auditorium. All grade levels are welcome.

We will be discussing the college application process and the specific to ZMHS:

1. Procedures for requesting transcripts and letters of recommendation
2. Connecting your Common App to your SchooLinks account
3. Importance of application essays. We will be giving a general overview of the application process and what to expect leading up to graduation:
4. Completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
5. Scholarships
6. Application deadlines

Following this presentation, UMGC will be presenting a special event on “Funding your Future” which will explore options for paying for your education including:

• Military Tuition Assistance
• MyCAA (My Career Advancement Account Scholarship(
• VA - GI Bill

... UMGC will also be discussing concurrent secondary enrollment and dual enrollment programs that are available to high school students.
